Getting to the Fireworks
Downend Round Table Fireworks is one of the biggest local events, attracting over 10,000 visitors each year. To make your evening stress-free, we strongly recommend walking rather than driving – it’s much quicker, and you’ll avoid the traffic queues.
Entrance Gates
All entrances accept e-tickets only. Please follow the marshals’ directions, as they may guide you to a quieter gate.
Entry & Exit Gates
- Gate One – Westerleigh Road
- Gate Three – Sutherland Avenue (by New Pavilion)
- Gate Four – Kimberley Close
Exit Only
- Gate Two – Farm Road Footpath
- Gate Five – Sutherland Avenue Footpath
Tip: Gate Three and Gate Four are usually much quicker than Gate One!
Routes to Site
From Mangotsfield…Head to GATE ONE
Walk along Peache Road until the double mini roundabouts with Westerleigh Road. Turn right and you’ll find the entrance 100 metres down on the left hand side.
From Downend High Street/Cleeve Hill…Head to GATE THREE
Walk along Badminton Road, past Mezze (at the Green Dragon) and turn right into Cleeve Lodge Road. Turn immediately left into Farm Road. Follow this road until it turns into Sutherland Avenue. GATE ONE is much busier throughout the night so you will get in much quicker going this way.
From Bromley Heath...Head to GATE THREE
Head towards Westbourne Road from either direction, pick up signs Boscombe Crescent until you reach Sutherland Avenue (nearest Badminton Road end). Follow Sutherland Avenue for 600 metres and GATE THREE will be on your left.
From Emersons Green or Blackhorse...Head to GATE FOUR
Head along Boscombe Crescent to Kimberley Avenue, the entrance will be signposted along the lane between St Augustines and the all weather playing pitches. This gate will be much quieter than GATE ONE.
Parking
Parking Enforcement is in place, so please don't get caught out!
In the interest of public safety; PLEASE PARK LEGALLY AND RESPONSIBLY AT ALL TIMES:
- Please do not park in any area highlighted in RED on the below map
- Please do not park on pavements
- Please do not obstruct private driveways
- Ensure that Emergency Vehicle access is maintained at all times
- Please do not park in coned off areas.

Public Transport

Disabled Parking
Due to the number of members of the public accessing the site and limited space there is no disabled parking available on-site. Our recommended drop off point would be on the road outside of the event along Sutherland Avenue shown as Gate 3 in the map above. There will be no access to the Pavillion car park.
