Please reach us at fireworks@downendrt.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Tickets will be on sale via our website from 1st October 2024. Please check the address and if at all concerned contact us via fireworks@downendrt.co.uk
Children under-3 are free (no ticket required), aged 3-16 pay the reduced child rate, over 16 require a standard ticket.
Ticket delivery is nearly instant, if you haven't received your tickets, please check your SPAM/Junk folders. Hotmail users particularly are reporting problems with the emails being wrongly classified. We've also had issues with full mailboxes rejecting emails. If you are at all worried though, please contact us, we're here to help!
Yes, the online ticketing system accepts major credit cards with no additional fees. Glow in the Dark toys and Sparklers will also be Card only but it is worth remembering all funfair rides, food and drink may require cash (we've been told they take cards) and there isn’t a cash point on site.
Unfortunately, we're unable to offer refunds on tickets. Similar to most major events (rugby, football etc) ticket sales are final. As a charity event staffed by volunteers, we haven't got the man power to assess and process ticket refunds.
You can buy on-line until we have sold out. All the gates are linked directly to the ticketing system for real-time validation. You cannot buy a ticket at the gate, only online. You can check if tickets are still available at any point via our website. There is no ticket resale for the event, so please don't buy tickets from Facebook, Instagram etc as there is a high chance these will be fake and you will be denied entry.
Children’s display is at 6:30pm and the Main display is 8:00pm. The gates open at 5:30pm so arrive early to get a good spot, there will be plenty of entertainment (times are subject to minor changes)
These are now delivered electronically and should be with you in seconds. Also no need to print them out as long as your phone can show the barcode in its entirety. Please make sure you check your email address as that's where they'll be sent. If you've mistyped your email address, please contact us at fireworks@downendrt.co.uk and we can help track down your tickets.
We try and plan our wood delivery in advance as traffic on site in the day is very busy. We have an articulated lorry brimmed full of unusable cast offs from a local company coming which should keep us all toasty warm. Unfortunately we can’t come and collect any old wardrobes, skirting boards etc.
Unfortunately due to the number of members of the public accessing the site and limited space there is no disabled parking available on-site. If dropping off a disabled guest we would advise using the Sutherland Avenue gate however this path is uneven. Due to ongoing works on site, there is no clear an easy access to the main field. Please check the access statement for the site or contact us for additional guidance.
No, we don't offer any discounts other than for children under 16.
We will allow free entry on production of a blue badge. This is to replace the complimentary carers tickets we used to issue, so please note carers will now require a full ticket.
Please check the access statement for the site as well. If you're unsure, please contact us via fireworks@downendrt.co.uk, we're a local community event so we try and make it easy to join us as we can. We're happy to offer suggestions on how we can facilitate your visit within the constraints of the site.
VIP ticket holders get access to a preferred seated enclosure, directly in front of the main launch zone. Blankets and brollies are provided in case of inclement weather along with a dedicated portaloo. We'll also have choccies and soft drinks with some gifts for the kids.
This year, we are also offering a "seat only" ticket, to reduce the costs for those just needing somewhere to perch as we appreciate standing in the cool night air is harder for some of us.
Traffic and travel information is available here.
The children’s display is deliberately more about the visual effects and is suitable for our younger guests to ooh and ah. The main display will be using some BIG fireworks that combine noise and light so if you are sensitive to loud noises, some level of ear protection would be advisable.
NO. We will be offering sparklers in a dedicated area on site, but it is not safe to have lit sparklers in the crowd. We only charge a nominal fee (£1) so come and wave in safety!
Apart from the fact its the biggest show in town? We are scrutinised and approved by South Glos Council, we work with ambulance, fire brigade and police. We have SIA approved security staff patrolling the site to make sure you are safe along with a trained ambulance crew. We use a professional company to launch the best show in Bristol. Oh and by coming to us, you are raising money for charity so you can feel great about your night.
All proceeds from the event go to Downend Round Table, a registered charity. We use this money to make donations to local good causes, either on an individual basis or via events such as a local charity "Dragons Den". If you want to know more or would like to apply for funds, check out the rest of the website or email us at ask@downendrt.co.uk
